To help us achieve our fundraising goals this season, all the Wingate University women's basketball players got together to help make this year a success. We were each asked to create a personal fundraising page to send out to close friends, family, and mentors, so I hope you don't mind if you made my list!

My goal with this fundraiser is to do my part to help us pay for a Greece International Trip in May of 2023.  All the funds raised will go directly to my personal fundraising campaign and my goal is to raise at least $2500. Any donation regardless of the amount will definitely help. I'll keep you posted on our progress and can't wait to tell you about my trip to Greece.

A Message from Head Coach Ann Hancock...

As the Head Coach of the Wingate women's basketball program, I am very excited about the 2022-23 season. We have such a great passion for what we do and we are surrounded by great people within the Bulldogs Family. Our players do an excellent job of preparing to be GREAT, whether in the classroom, on the court, or in the community. My staff and I are hard at work each day planning, training, and preparing our student-athletes for the rigors we face in the upcoming year. 

Some of our recent Wingate Women's Basketball Highlights include:

~ 18-game win streak
~ NCAA Tournament Appearance
~ Bryanna Troutman-SAC Player of the Year, SAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Honorable Mention All-America, Hannah Clark-Second Team All-SAC
~ Haleigh Brandon-Second Team All-SAC
~ Lauren Sullivan-Elite 20 Academic Award for highest GPA
~ Spring Semester GPA 3.5, Five players with a  4.0, Four on President's List, 6 on Dean's List 

The goals we hope to accomplish as players, coaches, and a program takes vision, commitment, and resources. An important part of our program's funding continues to be generated from the players, their parents, and the support and generosity within the Bulldogs community. Wingate women's basketball is going to Greece in May of 2023 to experience a different culture, play three exhibition games and see historical sights. Along with my staff, I would like to personally thank everyone for supporting our program and invite each of you to a game this year.

2022-23 is guaranteed to be an exciting season as we continue building a Standard of Excellence.
